National Law University & Judicial Academy, Assam (NLUJAA) stands as a distinguished autonomous law school in the State, dedicated to implementing innovative approaches within the realms of legal education and research.  The institution offers a five-year integrated course in B.A., LL.B., and a one-year LL.M. degree program. Additionally, it provides opportunities for pursuing a Ph.D. in law.

Admissions to NLUJAA involve competitive entrance examinations, followed by a Counseling Session organized by the respective entrance examination authorities. For admission to B.A., LL.B., and LL.M.  courses, candidates are required to clear the CLAT.

Regarding the Ph.D. program, candidates must take the university's entrance examination. Successful candidates might undergo an Interview post clearing the entrance test. It's noteworthy that certain candidates with specific qualifications might be exempted from the entrance test.

B.A. LL.B. Admission NLU Assam 2024

Admission to NLU Assam's B.A., LL.B. for the year 2024 is based on a five-year integrated course with an intake capacity of 60 seats per year. Candidates applying for this program must have passed their 10+2 or an equivalent examination with at least 50% marks.

To be eligible for admission, candidates are required to clear the CLAT. Applicants currently appearing for their qualifying examination may also apply for the test. However, they must produce proof of their results at the time of admission.

LL.M. Admission 2024 NLU Assam 

For the LL.M. program offered by NLUJAA, a one-year degree course with a total intake capacity of 10 seats per year, students have the choice to pursue either a General LL.M. or a specialized degree. To pursue a specialized LL.M., students need to select a minimum of four electives out of six in their preferred specialization. Candidates must have completed a 3-year or 5-year integrated LL.B. degree with a minimum of 55% marks to be eligible for this program. Additionally, clearing the CLAT entrance examination is mandatory. Candidates awaiting results of their qualifying examination can appear for the entrance test if they present proof of their results during counseling.
