Established in 1981, NMIMS has emerged as a globally reputed university.
Started in small steps in 1981, NMIMS Mumbai has now grown into a world-renowned university. Always concerned with society, the Shri Vile Parle Kelavani Mandal (SVKM) decided to meet the growing demand for management institutes in the country. This led to the birth of the Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS). It started humbly by offering a two-year full-time Masters' program in Management Studies with 4 full-time students faculty, 3162 books, and an enrollment of 40 students above Bhaidas Hall, Vile Parle (West), Mumbai.
Recognized by University Grants Commission (UGC), Member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), Approval by AICTE, Bar Council Of India (BCI), Pharmacy Council of India (PCI). Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai courses are offered at various levels like Undergraduate Degree (i.e BBA, B.Tech, B.Com, B.sc, etc.), Postgraduate Degree (i.e MBA, MCA, M.Tech, M.Sc., etc.), Law Degree (i.e. BBA-LLB, LLM, etc.), Pharmacy Degree (i.e. B.Pharma, M.Pharma) and Ph.D. and many more. Residential Accommodation
Separate boys' and girls' hostels with high security are available on the university campus. Boys and girls have two hostels with Wi-Fi services for UG and PG, which can accommodate about 450 students each with good infrastructure. A university van and car are always available to meet emerging customer needs. A well-equipped gym is established so that the students of the inn develop the physical ability of boys and girls. They also have indoor play facilities. A hygienic mess is attached to the hostels. The rooms are spacious and airy. Furious Free Campus.
The library
The treasury of books and periodicals - is the center of intellectual activity in any institution. The Central Library works for its readers with a concern for creativity and innovation, predecessors of Research and Development. The general library of our college was established in 2000. It has a well-equipped library that accumulates over 45,024 volumes of selected books in various engineering, management, and basic, and general science subjects. The library subscribes to over 143 printed periodicals. The library also has 1531 bound volumes of periodicals. Audiovisual educational programs and video lessons often take place in the library.
Medical Services and Health Center
NMIMS Mumbai knows that physical health is more important for students to concentrate well on their studies. The College pays particular attention to the health of students. Our college has a health center with all the facilities on the campus and also an experienced doctor who takes care of this health center. Also, our college is located near Chettinad Hospital. The AIHT medical service vehicle is always ready on site 24 hours a day.
Canteen
It is speckless and maintained very well. Provides good quality fresh snacks, cold drinks, coffee, tea, and other food items hygienically and healthily that fits in the student's pocket.
Sport
Physical education is strongly aimed at improving the physical and mental health of the individual player. This results in the development of dynamic personalities. Sports activities and achievements have helped many people get better job opportunities. The clean area with the natural gift of fresh air is an inspiring resource, which motivates the player to perform better. Sports carry the same weight as academics. All sports activities are encouraged by providing all facilities when students participate in intercollegiate, Intra college, and other tournaments. The victorious university teams have won all major sporting events in Tamil Nadu including the Anna University Interzonal Sports Championship.
Bank
NMIMS is provided with Indian Bank which is located at the entrance which saves time and energy for students. The ATM which is part of the Indian bank is located near the bank.ATMs of HDFC Bank and State Bank of India are also available near the college entrance.
NMIMS offers various scholarships based on academic merit, financial need, and specific criteria set by the institution. Students can apply for scholarships through the designated application process as outlined by NMIMS.
