The Common Law Admission Test, known as CLAT, is a national-level law entrance exam conducted by the National Association of Law Universities (NLUs). It facilitates admission to the 5-year integrated LLB (UG) courses and 1-year LLM (PG) courses. The exam is conducted for admission to 24 NLUs for undergraduate courses and 21 NLUs for postgraduate courses. Conducted in an offline, paper-and-pencil format, the CLAT 2025 exam for undergraduate courses will cover sections on English, Current Affairs and General Knowledge, Legal Reasoning, Logical Reasoning and Quantitative Techniques. For postgraduate courses, the exam will cover Constitutional Law and other legal subjects such as Jurisprudence, Criminology, IPC, CrPC, CPC, Family Law and Intellectual Property Rights (IPR).
