Pioneer Trust is a pioneer in the field of education and was founded in 1997 by Sri. G. Devarajan and Smt. D. Suguna. The Founder Trustee Smt. D. Suguna is an eminent Educationist and Philanthropist. Education for knowledge and personality building has been her motive and she has been well groomed, through the years, in this field by her experienced elders like Sri.G.R.Govindarajulu and Sri.G.K.Devarajulu. Smt. Aparna Rajkumar is the current Managing Trustee of Pioneer Trust and Secretary of Pioneer College of Arts and Science. She is an entrepreneur, sportsperson, and multi-sports commentator on television media, Rich and varied has been our Founder Trustee’s experience for the past five decades ranging from kindergarten to Higher Secondary Education and from Polytechnic to Post Graduate Studies and Teacher Education.

Infrastructure and Facilities

Pioneer College of Arts and Science, Coimbatore includes several infrastructural facilities for academic and other purposes. The facilities include Auditorium, internet-enabled Smart Classrooms, Placement Cell cum Skill Development Centre, Library, Computer Labs, Language Lab, Seminar Halls, Conference Hall, Lecture Halls, Cafeteria, Hostels, Dining Areas, UPS systems, Backup Power Generators, Sports Complex / Academy with playgrounds for multiple sports and games.

Library:

The central library of the college has more than 8000 books, National and International journals & magazines. The library has a calm atmosphere conducive to learning. The fully automated library is continuously adding more books in all relevant subjects every year. Back volumes of journals, project reports, and university question papers are bound and kept separately for reference. Apart from the central library, all departments have their separate department libraries.

Auditorium:

Pioneer College of Arts and Science and other educational institutions have large, multi-purpose auditoriums which can accommodate up to 1000 persons. Major events such as Annual Day, Graduation / Convocation Day, Guest Lectures, Cultural Day, etc. are celebrated in the Pioneer Auditorium.

Seminar Hall:

Pioneer College of Arts Science, Coimbatore has an air-conditioned, multimedia, and internet-equipped seminar hall for hosting medium-sized gatherings. Various events such as seminars, lectures, and meetings can be hosted in the seminar hall.

Conference Hall:

Pioneer College of Arts and Science, Jothipuram, Coimbatore houses multiple event halls for hosting curricular and other events such as conferences, department-level meetings, seminars, workshops, and training programs. Conference Hall can host about 250 students. The facility includes an LED projector, computer, and audio systems for multi-mode presentations.

Computer lab:

Pioneer College of Arts and College has five computer labs equipped with servers and computer systems. Over 300 systems are available for the use of faculty and students. The labs are connected to fiber-based broadband internet service with Gigabit Ethernet routers and switches. Several UPS (uninterruptible power) systems support the computing devices in the computer labs, library, departments, and other facilities in the college.

Cafeteria:

Pioneer Campus Cafeteria provides healthy and hygienic snacks, to-go lunches, and beverages for the staff and students in a spacious, airy dining hall. Typical freshly made snacks include Samosas, Puffs, Paruppu Vada, Ragi Vada, Ulunthu Vada, and Bondas. Variety meals are available as packed lunches.
