It was set up in the year 1997 by Prestige Education Society, Indore registered under the Societies Registration Act 1860. The Society was set up by the Prestige Group of Industries with the objective to meet the widely felt need for globally oriented Management and Information Technology education and training for professionals. The Institute has grown to be recognized as a premier Institute for higher learning. It is a major learning centre in Central India. Prior to receiving the case problem for the competition, participants receive training on written appellate advocacy. Teams then work together to research and write an appellate brief for a case based on contemporary legal issues.

The Library holds a huge collection of printed as well as electronic resources which include books, journals, databases, CDs/DVDs, e-journals, reports, case studies, conference proceedings, training manuals, etc. The Institute has a well-equipped and spacious library with more than Sixteen Thousand books and reports on a large variety of Management, Information Technology and allied subjects. The library remains open for 12 hours on all working days. The library has a journal section; the Institute subscribes to 86 research journals including foreign journals. The Institute has subscribed to DELNET and PROQUEST to provide 35000 International journals online. A large number of newspapers and magazines are also subscribed for use in the library. The institute has the latest equipment installed in its computer lab to meet both present and future needs. The computer lab has a local area network of 300 computers.
