Established in 1972, RAM LAKHAN SINGH YADAV COLLEGE is a constituent unit of Ranchi University. The name of the college is in honor of the then Honorable Minister of Education, Late Ram Lakhan Singh Yadav of undivided Bihar, whose vision was to educate an underprivileged group of society by opening Schools & Colleges in every district of the State. The college is a part of the great vision of this august personality.

Scholarship

RLSY provides scholarships and fees reduction to financially backward students but the scholarship is actually provided by the govt. and the education sector, not the college or the university. Special scholarships are given to students depending upon the caste category of the students.

Admission

The minimum eligibility criteria for undergraduate programs is to complete 10+2 with a minimum of 45% and for postgraduate programs is to complete graduation with a minimum of 45% marks.
