R.M.K. College of Engineering and Technology (RMKCET) is an engineering college in the village of Puduvoyal, in the municipality of Tiruvallur, in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It is governed by the Lakshmikanthammal Educational Trust, affiliated with Anna University, Chennai, and approved by AICTE. It is a Telugu minority institution. The college opened in 2008 with five departments: Information Technology (IT), Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE), Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), and Mechanical Engineering (MECH).

The College Library and Information Centre have resources facilitating the Students with the latest Technology in accordance with International Standards. The College Library Contains 25682 Volumes of books with 5548 titles and 1735 CDs. The Library also subscribes to 36 National Journals, 211 International Journals, 34 Magazines, and 16 newspapers and also has a subscription to access IEEE, ASME, IETE, and IEI Online Journals and other publications. RMKCET provides the NPTEL (National Program Technology Enhanced Learning) through online and web video courses in the engineering and humanities stream.

T.J.S provides the facility of a well-structured and clean canteen that caters to the taste and health of the students. Safe and wholesome Food and Drinking water as per FSSAI – norms are available in the college canteen.

A Sound body is essential for a sound mind. Healthy and nutritive food is served. The hostel kitchen has facilities for steam cooking with gas stoves. There are four dining halls covering an area of about 200 sq.m for accommodating a large number of students at a time.

A clinic, with a few beds along with on call Doctor facility for 24 Hours to take care of, the health requirements of the hostel students, is also made available. Separate sick rooms for both boys and girls are available.

To facilitate emergency withdrawal of money, our college has Indian Overseas Bank ATM on the college premise itself.

There are separate gyms for both girls and boys. Both gyms are equipped with the latest equipment.

The Department of Training and Placement continuously strives with a single-minded resolve to create a plethora of opportunities in placing students in the MNCs.
