Sacred Heart College, Kochi is a tertiary institution affiliated with Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam. It was founded in 1944. In 2000, the university was accredited at the five-star level by the National Accreditation and Rating Board and was reaccredited at A-level in 2013.

Sacred Heart College maintains a policy of transparency and public accountability in all matters related to academic and non-academic activities. Canteen and Cafeteria: 

No college can exist without a canteen. SH College offers its students and faculty canteens in two locations: a diet canteen and a food corner. Both offer students a wide range of food at subsidized and affordable prices. The Foodie Corner is open during college hours and offers "quick bites" and non-Indian cuisine popular with students. The diet canteen offers students healthy food at subsidized prices. This is a hostel resort for which it is the most convenient place to eat as it is very close to the hostel. 

Auditorium: 

The main hall seats 1,200 people and is equipped with a large projection screen and a flying sound system. It is designed for common college programs such as presentations, entertainment programs, exams, training programs, and competitions. 

Hostel: 

The college welcomes students from a variety of geographical backgrounds, ensuring a diverse student culture. Pupils from distant places are housed in boarding schools, separated for girls and boys. Every hostel resident has basic facilities to facilitate learning. Students enrolled in the sports contingent enjoy free accommodation. The hostel is close to the college which allows students to enjoy their commute, saving time and energy.
