Shri Jagannath Sanskrit Vishvavidayalaya, also known as Shri Jagannath Sanskrit University, is located in Puri, Odisha, India. It was established to promote Sanskrit Language and named after Lord Shri Jagannath in Puri.It was established by the then Chief Minister of Odisha Prajnana Vachaspati Sj.
Shri Jagannath Sanskrit Vishvavidyalaya was founded on July 7, 1981, in the holy land of Lord Jagannath to fulfill the long-held desires of Sanskrit lovers. Prajnana Vachaspati, the Chief Minister of Odisha founded it. Janaki Ballabh Pattanayak was also an outstanding scholar of Sanskrit.
There are 142 Sanskrit institutions in the state. These include 5 Mahavidyalaya, 137 Vidyalayas, Pathshalas, and Pathshalas that offer Prathama and Upashastri, Madhyama and Shastri as well as other courses. This Vishvavidyalaya can be described as a place for learning. It is located in Darbhanga and is the third Sanskrit University in the country, after the Sampurnanand Sanskrit University Of Benaras, Kameswar Singh Sanskrit University Of Darbhanga.
NAAC Grade "B" has ranked the Shri Jagannath Sanskrit Vishvavidyalaya.
Auditorium
Education should not be restricted to four walls.
A large seminar hall is also available on campus.
The room is also equipped with surround speakers and an audio system so that speeches can be heard.
Similar events, seminars, meetings, and moral classes are held every academic year in the hall.
Motivational speeches by experienced speakers will be delivered on a variety of topics.
Many students have benefitted from such speeches.
Library
Students can use the University's vast library.
There are also over a thousand books, journals, and seminar rooms with internet access.
Students will be able study efficiently and get excellent marks with the help of such a library and its resources.
Computer Lab
For practical computer application education, the University has a well-equipped lab.
It is also important to mention that they are updated on the latest developments and trends in the computer world.
It was made available to final-year students and staff.
It also has a smart class, and its own library.
It has ICT-enabled teaching and learning.
Canteen
The place is ideal for students to unwind and recharge.
Other than that, hygiene is given almost equal importance at University.
The canteen also serves delicious and savoury dishes to students and staff at moderately affordable prices.
RO plant also purifies water that is supplied to the canteen.
Here you will find delicious snacks as well as stationery and personal items.
Hostel
Two hostels are located on campus.
The hostel will be administered by the Hostel board members, subject to the general supervision and guidance of its Governing Body.
The hostel staff provides free accommodation, food and residential services.
For student's safety, the University has a residential staff.
Students must follow a strict policy. This is strictly for safety purposes.
The hostel can accommodate over 200 students, while the management ensures that the environment is clean and comfortable.

Seminar Halls:

Seven seminar halls are furnished and one open-air theatre is available at the institution. There are seven seminar halls: Cyber Block Seminar Hall; Decennial Block Seminar Hall; Digital Block Seminar Hall; Silver Jubilee Seminar Hall; Rama Rayudu Auditorium and Auditorium; Hi-Tech Block Seminar Hall; Open Air Theatre.
A large Digital Screen that can accommodate 175 students is also available.

Every academic year, the hall hosts more than 100 interactions and seminars as well as meetings and moral classes.

Since the Vishvavidyalaya was sifted to its Campus at Shri Vihar , a land of 100 acres at Sea Shore in between reserve forest and delta office in nearmost area of Puri town of Odisha . The eight Post graduate departments running in two faculty building have done excellent performances during yester years .
