SCAD College of Engineering and Technology is an ISO 9001:2015 certified institution, recognized by UGC under of UGC Act, 1956, approved by AICTE, New Delhi, and Affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. It was established in 2001 by the SCAD Group. It is a serene campus of 150 acres and serves as one of the citadels for Engineering in the southern region. SCAD CET aims to impart knowledge, skills, teamwork, innovation, entrepreneurship, courage, and responsibility and has been bestowed with a number of awards and recognitions from the technical and non-technical forums. Presently, the institution offers 5 undergraduate Engineering courses (CIVIL, CSE, ECE, EEE, and MECH), 3 post-graduate Engineering courses (CSE, AE, and PED), and Management Studies (MBA).

Courses Offered

National Service Scheme:

NSS Volunteers are encouraged to do 100 hrs of Voluntary Activities. The objective of NSS is to channel the Youth energy toward Nation building activities. These voluntary activities help NSS Volunteers to develop their personality and leadership qualities and promote the spirit of dignity of labor. The NSS Unit takes up any of the following activities which is useful to the Local Area/ Village/ Community.

Physical Education:

The Department of Physical Education of SCAD College of Engineering Technology has an excellent infrastructure to meet the sporting requirements and regular physical exercise. An upcoming individual should be ready to overcome all the challenges physically, mentally, emotionally, and intellectually and thus this institution provides the best sporting coaching facilities to enhance the tremendous potential lying hidden among the students. 

GYM:

well-equipped power gym and hydraulic gym with the latest multiple machines. These gyms could accommodate 100 Students per session. Each session will be engaged by experienced trainers.

HOSTEL:

Life on-campus in SCAD College of Engineering and Technology enhances the students not only to study but also to socialize with their peers. This institution provides comfortable and safe housing to all its students. The students housed in the campus are encouraged to use the playground and all indoor gaming facilities. The hostels provide safe, secure, and homely accommodation for the students with good standards in Mess, Room keeping, and Reading rooms for boys and girls.

Transport:

College Bus facilities are provided from various destinations to ensure a safe and comfortable journey and time management. Bus facilities to the college premises from Tirunelveli Junction, Tirunelveli Town, Pabanasam, Nagercoil, Kalakad, VK Puram, Sankar Nagar, Ambasamudram, Nanguneri, Palayamkottai, Ramayanpatti, and Cheranmahadevi are available. Students are asked to make use of the facility. Students are allowed to tour through the university bus with the given bus by skip and they must renew their passes by the due date.

Auditorium:

SCAD College of Engineering and Technology has a well-equipped auditorium with a seating capacity of over 700 people. The auditorium is spacious, well-ventilated, and has well-furnished halls. A regular venue for conferences, workshops, and seminars, this auditorium has all the facilities to enhance the learning process and is a vast space that serves the varied requirements of quality education. 

Cafeteria:

The college has a well-planned canteen that functions inside the campus to cater quality food and soft beverages for the students and staff from 8.00 a.m. to 8.00 p.m. on all working days. The canteen has a dining capacity of 250 students and serves vegetarian and non-vegetarian cuisine, soft drinks, fresh juices, snacks are light snacks. The canteen has a student stationery shop as well.

Library:

The Central Library of SCAD College of Engineering and Technology is located inside the college campus and spreads over 1500 square feet. The Library is spacious and inviting to the college staff & students, providing a pleasant reading atmosphere. The library is well equipped with modern facilities and resources in the form of CD-ROMs, Online databases, e-journals, e-books, Journals, project reports, etc. Huge collections of Books, Journals are available in Engineering, Technology, Science, and Humanities. The library has 39861 Volumes of books and subscribes to 71 National and International Print Journals and holds membership with IEEE and DELNET.
