Facilities and Infrastructure

Hostel:

There are two separate hostels for boys and girls inside the campus. The respective messes attached to the hostels provide hygienic and quality food. R/O drinking water is supplied, and Spacious outdoor and indoor games facilities are provided for the students. A Qualified Medical officer visits the hostels thrice a week to take care of the health of the students. There are separate generators as standby for the supply of electricity continuously. A car in a hostel for emergency use is in the region on a 24/7 basis.

Canteen:

A Spacious canteen caters to the needs of staff and student community offering good quality food. A departmental store also functions to meet any other needs of the students. Students depend much on the college canteen. It is a reliable source of their taking food. There are different kinds of food items available in the college canteen. Some students have to come to college from distant places. All the students can take some food from the college canteen. It has other importance also.

Transport:

Adequate transport facilities are being provided for the benefit of students and staff coming from various outskirts of the city. Around 25 college buses ply to transport the students from various places like Trichy town, REC/BHEL, Manapparai, K.K Nagar, and Lalgudi. In addition to the Punctual service, the college transport also ensures the safety and security of the students.

Computer Network:

This center serves the campus-wide LAN in close association with the user departments. This LAN caters to totally 400 users across t campus and has a 10 Gbps fiber optic backbone. It has a Printer room equipped with 10 high-speed A4 and A3 Network Laser/DOT MatrixPrinters(Mono and Color). The center is maintained by the Computer Support Group (CSG). The Server has a Highly green multi-node chassis with shared electricity and cooling components, providing you with the ability to mix and match server nodes, and also allows for single node serviceability (SNS). Library:

The Library is functioning in a separate construction having a built-up vicinity of 2000 Sqm and it has a seating ability of 216. The library has more than 62,000 volumes of books covering all disciplines of Engineering and Technology, Science & Humanities, and Management. The library has an extensive collection of books and is augmented on a continuous basis. The library subscribes to popular periodicals, national and international journals. A large number of CD-ROMs and audio cassettes are supplementary digital resources offered. The library provides Online access to a large number of journals from IEEE, ASME, ASCE, and Springer & INFORMS.

Auditorium:

Fully air-conditioned, with a raked floor and a normal seating capacity of 240, the Auditorium is designed as a multi-purpose theatre. It is ideal for plenary conference sessions and lectures, but can also be used for films and stage performances. It is fitted with a wide range of AV equipment including a data projector and a PA system, an experienced AV Technician is also always on hand. It has a large stage, but no natural daylight.

IT Park:

There are two engineering colleges, one polytechnic college, a standalone B-School, a B.Ed, and Teacher training institutes, each offering education of the highest quality in their respective disciplines. The campuses are spread around 70 acres with 5.5 lakh sq.. buildings. In this sprawling campus, SHIVANI IT PARK has been established with over 50,000 sq. of office space.
