About Silver Jubilee Government College, Kurnool

It is the brain-child of Sri P. V.Narasimha Rao, then Prime Minister of Andhra Pradesh, who wanted to found a statewide institution to forge emotions for the integration of the populations of the three regions of the State while its integration was threatened by the separatist movements. For this lofty ideal, he chose Sri M.V. Rajagopal, I.A.S., the visionary educator and principal secretary of higher education at the time. Sri M.V.Rajagopal aimed to give the best education to the best students, regardless of their financial status.
