It was established in 1965 by Bharatiya Seva Sadan. This Education Society is one of the oldest and most pioneering educational societies of the unique within the landscape of the Vidarbha region of Maharashtra. It was established to extend educational opportunities to empower the women of the region, who come from various small villages of the Akola region.

The college has an excellent IT Infrastructure facility for the students. Computers have become an integral part of employment and even personal lives. To provide computer literacy to all students a special program has been devised. A state-of-the-art fully equipped computer lab with 60 + computers and a wi-fi internet facility with 10 MBPS speed is available.

Girls Hostel

The institution provides separate hostel facilities for girls with 64 rooms and has all the necessary facilities for boarding and other recreational activities, to support goodwill, and sociability, and to play an essential role in promoting community living among them.

The College has a well-stocked library containing more than 35000 books, Journals & Periodicals, and fully-trained staff to assist the students/teachers with their requirements. Now we have fully computerized the entire library so that all books/journals etc. are properly cataloged to make them easily accessible and smooth process of issue & return. Enough reading room space is provided for self-study, reference, etc., for students & staff. All current topics, competitive exams journals, periodicals, newspaper/magazines of interest, self-improvement books, etc., apart from the regular course material will be made available. Target-to makes the library the best in the region and a one-stop reference point. A computerized OPAC (Online Public Access Catalogue) facility is available for Students to search books online using different criteria.

Cafe/Mess Facility

The college has a canteen facility for staff and students. The objective of the Canteen and meal service is to protect by reducing the risk of foodborne illness, with proper sanitary conditions and preventing adulterated food. From the very beginning of the College in 2016, the College Canteen has been functioning efficiently. The canteen is located inside the College. The hostellers and day scholars are provided meals to assuring food safety and quality.

Admission

The course will start immediately after the declaration of the result of XII Std. Examination.

Admission to Post Graduate courses will start immediately after the declaration of the Final Year results of Various UG Courses.

Notice for admission is given in the newspaper and also displayed on the Notice Board in the College.

To have transparency in the admission process, students are admitted on a merit basis considering the marks of previous examinations passed by the students.

Cut off percentage for admission to undergraduate courses is 50 %.

Admission to the various reservation categories is made as per the Govt. norms.

For admission, there are different committees consisting of three to four members.

The admission form and the documents required are checked by the admission committee and direct admission is given to the students.
