Telemedicine services:
In 2001, Telemedicine Services were established in collaboration with ISRO and Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Lucknow for providing distant medical education to our medical students, teleconsultation for critically ill patients, follow-up treatment facility, and Telemedical video conference. Currently, the Telemedicine center of SCB is connected with all the District headquarter Hospitals and all the other Medical College Hospitals. It has played a vital role in the virtual training of doctors in the management of COVID patients and ensuring that the teaching program of medical students is not hampered.
Library:
A student library is inside the campus with more than 500 seats having separate sections for undergraduate, and postgraduate students and faculties. The Central Library is one of the best referral medical libraries in the state of Odisha. It has been declared as a resource library in the Eastern Region by the Govt. of India in the year 1993.
Hospital Beds:
With the gradual popularity of the Institution and the growing needs of the people, the bed strength of the hospital was raised from time to time. The bed strength of the hospital was 215 in 1933, 227 in 1938, 246 in 1946, 335 in 1951, 535 in 1952, 747 in 1959, 756 in 1962, 892 in 1964, 954 in 1965, 1040 in 1966, and 1080 since May’68 and now it has a staggering strength of 2132 beds
Facilities for physically challenged students:
The college also provides facilities for physically challenged students. Almost all buildings have ramps and lifts for the assistance of physically challenged students. They are provided with walking aids, wheelchairs, and other assistance as necessary. Suitable accommodation is also provided for the parents of the physically challenged students to facilitate their daily activities and ensure no hindrance in their medical training. Most of the buildings are also provided with separate toilets designed for the use of physically challenged students.

Under the exemplary vision of our beloved and Hon’ble Chief Minister Srijukta Naveen Patnaik, SCB is undergoing a massive redevelopment program and is soon going to transform into a world-class health facility with 3000 beds in the first phase and 5000 beds by the end of the project.
Facilities
SCB Medical College, Cuttack has adequate infrastructure like a hostel, library, etc which helps the students to have a hassle-free learning experience throughout their college life.
Auditorium: SCB Medical College, Cuttack has an auditorium that is used for organizing events and activities for the students.
Hostel: The institution provides hostel facilities to the students and has a separate hostel for boys and girls. Students can avail the facilities of Wi-Fi networks, indoor games, TV rooms, etc.
Laboratories: The institution has laboratories for the students to apply their knowledge practically and gain exposure. These laboratories are well-equipped with the latest technologies and equipment.
Sriram Chandra Bhanja Medical College, Cuttack offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses to the students. Candidates aspiring to take admitted to the MBBS course have to appear and secure the minimum percentile in the NEET exam conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) and then participate in the counseling process conducted by the Directorate General of Health Sciences (DGHS) on behalf of Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). SCBMCH postgraduate admission is based on the NEET PG exam conducted by the National Board of Examinations (NBE). Admission to the super specialty course is based on NEET Super-Specialty (NEET SS) conducted by the National Board of Examinations (NBE) followed by participation in the counseling process. MBBS
Candidates have to apply and appear for the NEET UG exam conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA).
Candidates with the required NEET percentile will have to register for NEET counseling.
Further candidates have to participate in the counseling process conducted by the Directorate General of Health Sciences (DGHS) on behalf of the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC).
Final admission will be based on the marks secured, participation in the counseling process, seat allotment, document verification, and fee payment.
Postgraduate Courses
Candidates have to apply and appear for the NEET PG exam conducted by the National Board of Examinations (NBE).
Candidates have to secure the minimum qualifying percentile and register for the counseling process.
Further, candidates have to participate in the counseling process conducted by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on behalf of the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC).
Final admission will be based on the marks secured, participation in the counseling process, seat allotment, document verification, and fee payment.
Super Speciality Courses
Candidates have to apply and appear for the NEET Super-Specialty (NEET SS) conducted by the National Board of Examinations (NBE).
Based on the merit of NEET SS, candidates have to register for counseling.
Further candidates have to participate in the online counseling conducted by the Medical Council Committee.
Final admission will be based on merit, participation in the counseling process, seat allotment, document verification, and fee payment.
