Shiv Shankar Institute Of Engineering & Technology (SSIET, Amritsar) - Admission 2024-25

Admissions at Shiv Shankar Institute of Engineering & Technology are conducted through Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar, to which the institute is affiliated. The All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE) is a national-level competitive exam organized by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in India. Introduced in 2002, the AIEEE is designed for admission to various undergraduate engineering and architecture programs in institutes that accept AIEEE scores, including 5 IIITs and 30 NITs. The exam is typically held in April (usually on the last Sunday), and results are announced in the last week of May or the first week of June. Candidates receive both an All India Rank (AIR) and a State Rank (SR).

(a) Passed the 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and any one of the following optional subjects: Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, or Computer Science.

(b) Passed a diploma in any Engineering Trade from Punjab State Board of Technical Education, Chandigarh, or a Diploma/Certificate course from Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering & Technology, Longowal (District Sangrur), or an equivalent examination from any other recognized State Board of Technical Education, or completed ITI from a Technical Board and +2 Vocational.
