St Josephs Institute of Management Tiruchirappalli (SJC) was established in 1844 by Jesuits to lead the downtrodden of society towards the walk of enlightenment. Establishing its services for more than 175 years, the college proudly elevates its fame from the heart of Trichy, a city rich in historical and cultural heritage, to all over the world. The college, after attaining affiliation from Bharathidasan University, increased its field of research into 21 autonomous departments of various educational disciplines such as the school of biological sciences, the school of computing sciences, the school of languages and cultures, the school of management studies, and the school of physical sciences. In addition, the college received Heritage status from University Grants Commission (UGC) for its rich historical, scientific, and cultural significance. National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) accredited the college with an “A” grade three times consistently and in 2019 offered an “A++” rank, praising the professional executions in academics and administration. DR. APJ Abdul Kalam, former president of India, is an alumnus of SJC and the well-established alumni faithfully facilitates its presence towards the promotion of the legacy generated by the generations on the college campus.

Computer Lab:

JIM values the significance and influence of Information Technology and constructed a well-updated computer lab. The lab is provided with the latest and high-tech machinery, which greatly helps the students to learn and handle the latest technologies. The air-conditioned lab of JIM includes 3 high-end dual-processor rack servers with 120 nodes. We have licensed systems and application software.

Library:

The Learning Resource Centre of St Josephs Institute of Management Tiruchirappalli plays a very important & vital role in all academic & research activities. The LRC  provides access to various information resources ranging from the latest management books, textbooks, and audio-visual materials. Its prompt and effective services are in sync with the changing needs of the academic community, which is moving towards electronic resources such as e-books, e-journals, and databases.

Hostels:

There are two hostels, one for boys and the other for girls. Two independent hostels for girls and boys separately are available. They chiefly provide healthy nourishment, accommodation, and safety to the inmates.

Student Amenities:

JIM has installed an RO system / JIM has an installation of an RO system to provide purified water on the campus. The RO system is big enough to supply pure water throughout the year, and the students and faculty consider themselves ‘blessed’ at the time of even summer dry patches. In addition, two water coolers are provided on each floor to beat the heat of summer.JIM has an elevator with a single door on the shaftway and double cascading doors on the cab.

Board Room:

The Xavier Board Room has fabrications and equipment for conducting meetings and interviews. This air-conditioned hall is furnished with LAN and an LCD overhead projector to facilitate the successful conduction of interviews.

Placement:

JIM is forming responsible leaders by incorporating and teaching contemporary management practices to the students. Not only this year, but consistently placed student numbers stood higher in all years since its inception. The Highest CTC offered is 12 LPA from the Federal Bank and the average CTC is 4.5 LPA during the placement season of 2021. Despite a pandemic outbreak in the year 2020, JIM received 102 offers out of 117 eligible students.
