Stani Memorial College of Engineering and Technology was established in the year 2000 and has carved a niche for itself in the field of technical education in Rajasthan. SMCET is one of the premier & top-ranked technical colleges of the state and is recognized by AICTE and affiliated with the Rajasthan Technical University, Kota, Rajasthan. The campus of the institute consisting of the institute buildings, halls of residence, and staff colony is located at IIRM Phagi Campus, which is about 36kms from Jaipur city on the Diggi-Malpura state highway. Facilities and Infrastructure

The library plays a pivotal role in the intellectual pursuits of students and academia at the college. The library is fully computerized and is a veritable storehouse of information with sample text and reference books, national and international periodicals & journals, theses & dissertations. The library has a special collection of prescribed textbooks, the latest research papers, and reference materials in print along with the facility to refer to e-journals, CDs, project reports, government publications, reports, newsletters & back volumes related to management, information technology, mass communication, hospitality management, fashion, science, etc. for the reference of the students and the faculty alike.

The college provides separate hostel facilities for boys and girls. There is a separate block for the senior & junior students. There are individual hostel wardens to oversee the functioning of the hostels and to attend to the problems of the students. Medical attention is also instantly made available. For recreation, there are indoor and outdoor games as well as television. Availability of hostel facility is restricted to outstation candidates and is provided on a first come-first serve basis. Hostels are available for Single, Double & Triple occupancy.

Housing over 180 high-end internet-enabled computers, SMCET has one of the best IT infrastructures among engineering colleges in India. It is adequately equipped with modern hardware and software and staffed with qualified personnel. Each student is provided a free Laptop at the beginning of the session, so as to enable them to make the best use of the facilities available at the campus. The 24×7 Wi-fi enabled campus encourages the students to keep themselves updated with the latest of everything.

There are Doctors on call to provide free counseling and first-aid to students. There are tie-up arrangements with some of the reputed specialty hospitals in the vicinity of the campus by which students needing medical attention for ailments are taken care of.

SMCET believes in keeping the students up-to-date with the latest and greatest. The campus is thus completely Wi-Fi enabled & boasts an extensive internet bandwidth. Registered students are given individual Logins to access the campus internet services on any of their registered devices.

Placements

SMCET provides opportunities for interaction between students and representatives of the industry to facilitate placement in suitable jobs. Campus interviews are arranged by the college. SMCET also acts as a platform to have a dialogue between representatives of government/financial agencies/entrepreneurs and students. Many multinationals and other organizations of repute, visit our campus in search of talented future managers regularly. The institute has a 90% placement assistance policy.

The companies are requested to mail the enclosed Response Form to the Institute/contact Director-SMCET, for their requirement for placements. The placement schedule is worked out with mutual consent. The CVs of the students interested in respective organizations are collected by the Placement Cell. These are then forwarded to the companies if desired. The companies are advised to give Pre-Placement Talk (PPT) before starting the selection process at the campus. This provides an opportunity for the students to understand the organization better and gives the companies an idea of the student’s expectations & desires. The final job offers/appointment letters are routed through Director, SMCET.
