Admission

The candidates who want to take admitted to this institute must take part in any of the accepted entrance examinations. Below are the admission processes for all the courses offered in TMSL Kolkata

To take part in the counseling process for admission to the B.Tech courses a candidate must have passed the 10+2 examination and possess a valid score in WBJEE or JEE Main. The candidates will be allocated a seat based on their scores in the entrance examination. 80% of seats will be filled by WBJEE candidates, JEE Mains candidates will fill 10% of the seats, and the rest of the seats will be filled through management quota. For candidates with a Diploma in engineering, there’s also a provision of lateral entry in 2nd year via the JELET examination.

To take admission in the M.tech programs a candidate must have a B.E./ B.Tech or equivalent degree in the relevant discipline and must have a valid score in WBUT PGET/ GATE examination.

To take admitted to the MBA program a candidate must be a graduate in any discipline with a valid score in MAT/ JEMAT.

Scholarship

Techno Main Salt Lake offers a scholarship named Bharat Ratna Shri Pranab Mukherjee Scholarship, the certificate of the scholarship gets issued by the former president of India Shri Pranab Mukherjee. Apart from this the institute also has some fee waiver schemes for students in need. The institute also has collaborations with nationalized banks like Punjab National Bank, which enables aspiring candidates to outsource funding through education loans.

Placement Cell

The institute has a track record of good placement for B.Tech students. Similar to other technical institutes, TMSL also has a dedicated placement cell that takes care of all the placement-related activities inside the campus. In the year 2019, 415 people got their placement on campus. TCS was the most prominent recruiter recruiting 205 students. Companies like Intel, Microsoft, Mindtree, CTS, Wipro, and Deloitte also made a good number of offers to the students here.
