1. At the undergraduate level, Vel Tech Dr. RR & Dr. SR University offers BE and B.Tech programs to students who want to pursue their careers in the field of Engineering. The duration period for the B.E/B. Tech courses are four years long. The college also provides a lateral entry in the B.E and B.Tech second year for which the duration of both courses is three years.
2. For Admission to B.E / B.Tech Degree Courses, a candidate should have passed the twelfth standard of Tamil Nadu H.S.C. (Academic) or an equivalent examination recognized by Anna University with Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry. For direct admission to the second year (Lateral Entry), a candidate should have passed the Diploma Examination in Engineering / Technology of the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Tamil Nadu, or an equivalent examination.
3. To seek admission in the B.E and B.Tech courses, aspiring candidates will have to go through Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission (TNEA) conducted by Anna University.

1. At the postgraduate level, Vel Tech Engineering College offers a Master of Engineering (M.E.) in Structural Engineering. The M.E  /M. The tech program is offered for a duration period of two years. The intake capacity for the M.E. program is 18 seats.
2. To apply for the M.E/M.Tech program, a candidate needs to hold a recognized Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in the relevant field and obtain at least 50% (45 % in the case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the qualifying degree examination.
3. The candidates who meet the eligibility criteria, need to appear either in the Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) conducted by Anna University or in GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering).

1. In addition to the technical courses, Veltech Dr. RR & Dr. SR University offers a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Master of Computer Application (MCA) at the postgraduate level. The MBA program is two years whereas the MCA program takes three years to complete the duration period. The institute also accepts admission in the MCA second year.
2. To meet the eligibility criteria for the MBA program, candidates need to hold a recognized Bachelor’s degree of a minimum of three years duration and obtain at least 50% (45% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) at the qualifying examination.

5. Admission to the MBA and MCA programs is done through the Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) conducted by Anna University or CET conducted by an authorized agency.
