Admission to the MBA through CMAT is based on minimum cutoffs. These cutoffs are determined by the CMAT-accepting institutions. NTA has no role in MBA admission through CMAT. B-schools conduct Group Discussions (GD) and Personal Interviews (PI) with candidates shortlisted based on the CMAT cut-off to select candidates for MBA/PGDM programmes. In many institutes, essays are written instead of group discussions. To participate in the admission round, CMAT qualifiers must fill out the admission forms of the desired institute on time.
