Situated within the Bill Gates Block across both the Ground and First floors, Velammal Engineering College's library is an expansive learning hub, covering an area of 24,000 square feet. The library proudly houses a vast collection of 77,525 volumes spread over 25,156 unique titles. These resources span a variety of academic disciplines, including but not limited to Computer Science, Electronics, Mechanical, Civil, Artificial Intelligence & Data Science, and Business Administration. Beyond books, the library offers access to 174 National and International Journals and an impressive 9,517 online Journals. All these resources are systematically organized following the Universal Decimal Classification Scheme. Furthermore, the library has incorporated educational video/audio cassettes and CDs, enhancing the educational experience and demonstrating the institution's commitment to a holistic learning environment.

Book Bank Section
SC/ST Book Bank: Aimed at supporting the educational aspirations of SC & ST Post Matric Scholarship holders, this section provides access to 984 books, allowing students to borrow up to 10 books per semester.
General Book Bank: This section houses 1,818 books and encourages continuous learning by providing these resources at subsidized rates to students.
Reprography Section
Equipped with a modern plain paper copier, the Reprography Section offers photocopy services at a nominal fee. This service ensures that students and faculty can easily obtain the required materials while also safeguarding the integrity of the original collection.
Periodical Section
Showcasing a rich collection of both Technical and Non-Technical Journals from national and international sources, this section also houses back volumes for easy reference and historical context.
Reference Section

Audio-Visual Section

VEC Stack Room and Reading Hall
The library's multi-storied stack room boasts modern, adjustable book stacks, all meticulously organized based on the Universal Decimal Classification. Complementing this space, the reading hall provides a serene and conducive environment for study and research, accommodating up to 250 users at a time.
