The hostel was established in 2011 after VIT College was established in 2009 by KDM Education Society, Nagpur. In the beginning, the hostel was established in an existing private Hostel structure. With the increase in admissions of boys to hostel, additional private buildings were constructed in the surrounding parts of Dighori. The hostel was moved into its own college campus in the year 2011. The college has one building to house a boys' hostels that can hold 110 students. There are two rental buildings for girls' hostels to accommodate girls from the Dighori regions.

Amenities

The students have access to the basic necessities like cot table, chair as well as a cupboard and a fans within their classrooms. The rooms are big bright, airy and well lit. Common rooms of students are equipped with televisions. A 24-hour supply of water is available at all Hostels. A generator is in the process of being added to supply mess . The maintenance services for the campus like cleaning/sweeping, electrical repairs and security services are contracted out. A campus electrician for all hours of the day is on hand.
