GITAM Admission Test or GAT is an entrance test for admission to various undergraduate and postgraduate courses offered by Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management (GITAM). The exam is conducted as a computer-based test in various states of India and also as an online proctored test for some courses. GAT is the common test for admission to all GITAM campuses in Vishakapatnam, Hyderabad, Bengaluru and GIMSR. The duration of the test is 1/2 hour depending on the course for which the exam is conducted. The test consists of objective-type questions (multiple-choice questions). Each question has four options out of which one is correct. Each correct answer will be awarded 1 or 2 marks. Incorrect answers and unanswered questions are awarded zero marks. Candidates who qualify for GAT must complete and finalise admission to GITAM campuses.
Please note that candidates with JEE Main, TS EAMCET or AP EAMCET scores are exempted from GAT. If a candidate has not appeared for any of the above examinations, he/she will need to apply and appear for the GITAM Admission Test (GAT) to qualify for engineering at GITAM.
