The CMAT exam 2025 is scheduled to be held on January 25, 2025. Now is the time to prepare an exam day strategy that will help you in making optimum use of the exam preparation. Knowing all the topics is not enough. You need to be able to use the knowledge during the exam. For example, the most important thing in a good performance in a speed-based exam like CMAT is the choice of questions. CMAT 2025 will have 100 questions and the exam duration is 180 minutes. So, effectively you will get 1.8 minutes for every question. But it is not mandatory to solve all the questions. So, the key is to know how many and which questions to solve. Plan your strategy for CMAT 2025 exam day accordingly.

CMAT is a moderate exam in terms of difficulty level but one needs to be able to handle it well on the exam day for getting a good score. Here are a few tips that will help perform better in the CMAT 2025: 

1. Revise important points: From now on, important points about the important topics will be your main priority. Go through all the important concepts, theorems, etc. every day and the night before exam day.
2. Use short notes for revision: There is no time to revise everything in detail. Use short notes that you prepared during CMAT 2025 preparation. Short notes are easy to consume and remember.
3. Do not start a new chapter: If you have missed covering any topic. Don't worry about it. Concentrate on what you have covered. In the CMAT 2025 exam, try to attempt questions from the topics you have covered.
4. Make a strategy basis your strength: All the knowledge gained during the preparation period may not be of much use. Questions may not be asked from all topics of the CMAT syllabus. So, work on topics from which maximum questions are asked. Take a look at previous years' CMAT question papers for topic-wise weightage and then make a strategy.
5. Target sectional cut-off: For a good overall score in CMAT, you need to solve a good number of questions in every section. There are 20 questions in every section, so target solving 15-17 questions in each with maximum accuracy.
6. Do not do guesswork: CMAT 2025 has negative markings so you need to stay away from the trap of guesswork. Every question carries 4 marks. One mark is deducted for an incorrect attempt but there is no negative marking for skipping questions. So, if you are not sure of the correct answer, skip it.
7. Attempt a mock test as per your exam timing: The CMAT 2025 exam will be held in two sessions. 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, and 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm. The CMAT 2025 exam slot allocated to you is issued on the admit card and can be downloaded already. Check your exam slot and undertake a CMAT practice test at the same hour.
