Aligarh Muslim University, Uttar Pradesh Admission 2024-25
Aligarh Muslim University admissions are conducted online mode only. The university conducts admissions for UG and PG courses through single-window counseling in which several applicants apply for admissions. Admissions to the majority of the AMU courses are done based on the scores obtained in the entrance examination followed by a counseling process. Those candidates who have met the eligibility criteria of the course can apply online through the university's official website. Aligarh Muslim University, Uttar Pradesh Application Process
Candidates can apply for admission at Aligarh Muslim University only through Online mode. The Application Form, in another mode, will not be accepted in any case. Only one application is to be submitted by a candidate for each course of study. Follow the below-mentioned Steps to be admitted to AMU Programs:
- The candidate should then register online and provide his / her correct and functional email because the username and password etc. will be sent to this email. Candidates should Registration only once for applying to multiple courses.
- After Registering candidate should log in using his/her username and password. A dashboard of the candidate will be available to him/her for filling out the form.
- The candidate should fill out his/her Profile carefully. After saving the Profile, the candidate will be asked to review and confirm that the particulars entered are correct.
- Candidate should fill in details of his/her educational qualifications by providing the name of all examinations passed, including qualifying examination, year of passing, Examination Roll No., University/Board from where passed, and the percentage/CGPA obtained.
- Upload the important Documents that are required for Admission along with thumb impressions and colored photographs.
- Submit the Application fee through online mode only. The admission fee is not accepted in offline mode.
- The Application Form is submitted electronically the moment the candidate makes the payment of the processing charges and payment is successful.
- Candidates must take the printout of the Application form and keep it for future reference.
Note: Candidate will not be able to Edit/Update his/her Profile after confirmation. If a candidate finds any mistake in his/her Profile after confirmation, then he/she will have to re-register with a different Username and Password to complete all the entries afresh.
Documents Required
1. A scanned copy of the date of birth certificate/High School Certificate of the candidate.
2. Passport Size Photographs.
3. A scanned copy of the marks sheet/grade sheet of the qualifying examination.
4. Scanned copies of documents in support of a claim under a special category, if any.
5. Scanned copy of documents in support of Professional Experience, if any.
6. A scanned copy of the No Objection Certificate from the employer, if employed at present.
Aligarh Muslim University, Uttar Pradesh Distance Education
AMU Centre of Distance Education offers admissions to distance education for its number of courses such as UG, PG, Diploma, etc. Admissions to all those courses are done on a merit basis and prepared by the university officials. Interested students will have to fill up their application form by visiting the official website of the AMU Centre of Distance Education. There is no requirement to get any ranking in the entrance exam, and all admission is done solely based on merit. The application processes can be completed both online and offline.
Application Process
1. Both an offline and online version of the application is available. For all programs, there is a 300 INR application fee.
2. To apply for an online admission, one must fill out the form and provide scanned copies of their supporting documentation.
3. To apply for admission offline, candidates must send the application form, two copies of the required documentation, and seven passport-size photos.
4. The candidate's performance in the prior qualifying exam, which was completed by the applicant, is taken into consideration when making a decision.
Aligarh Muslim University, Uttar Pradesh Entrance Exam 2024-25
Admissions to several courses such as BA (Hons.), B.Sc. (Hons.), etc. are based on Aligarh Muslim University Entrance Exam (AMUEE) scores. AMU also offers BTech and B.Arch admissions based on the Aligarh Muslim University Engineering Entrance Exam (AMUEEE). Entrance Exams for these programs are usually conducted in May. This year admissions to these programs will only be offered to those students who qualify AMU Entrance Exam 2024. The AMU entrance exam is conducted once a year at the university level. The test paper for the exam is in English Language and MCQs based. The total duration for the same is 2 hours. After qualifying for the entrance exam, candidates will be required to undergo a counseling process. The counseling procedure will begin after the announcement of the AMU admission test. Counseling for AMU admission will be done independently based on the candidates’ rankings.
