Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) is a centrally-owned public university located in Aligarh town in Uttar Pradesh, India. It was established in 1875 by Sir Syed Ahmad Khan as the Muhammadan Anglo-Oriental Faculty 1875. Muhammadan Anglo-Oriental faculty became Aligarh Muslim University in 1920 in accordance with an amendment to the Aligarh Muslim Act.

Library
AMU Library is known as the Maulana Azad Library. It's the second-largest University Library in Asia. It has a massive collection of more than 11.5 lakh documents and books. Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) Placements 2020 has been successfully held where 211 students were admitted. The university offered 69 jobs to B.Tech students, and 27 offers were given to Diploma Engineers. These are the highlights of the job placement campaign:
180 job offers were presented at the job fair online.
23 recruiters attended the job fair on the internet.
The CTC with the highest value of 10 LPA INR was given to the students.
142 students were offered internships.

AMU Admission is conducted in two ways: Departmental Admission Test (conducted at Aligarh) and the Entrance Exam (conducted at designated centres).
Admission for B.Sc (H)or BA (H)or B.Com (H) as well as BSW is made on the basis of applicants scoring during the Admission Test (All India Level) administered by AMU. Controller Exam.
B.Sc (H) (Agricultural Science)or BA (H) (Shia/ Sunni Foreign Languages) BRITor B.P.Ed or B.Li.Sc admits students by the admission test that is conducted by the department concerned of AMU.
BA-LL.BBA-LL.B B.Ed as well as MBA entrance tests are held in Aligarh, Kozhikode, and Kolkata only.
B.Techor B.Arch Admissions are made in accordance with AMUEEE that is held at various locations. B.Arch (Evening) Admissions will be made by way of written tests.
A valid score on NEET is required for admission to MBBSand BDS or BUMS.
MCA or M.Sc MA or M.Ed/ MFA or M.Li.Sc or M.P.Ed MIRM/ MFA and Admission tests for MHRM are administered by the departments that are concerned with AMU only.
GATE-qualified candidates are eligible to apply to the M.Tech program. If there are any remaining places, AMU conducts its own Departmental Admission Test.
Admission to MD/MS and MDS is dependent on the validity of a score from NEET the PG section and NEET MDS, respectively.
AMU offers a written test which is followed by an Interview for admission into the Ph.D. Program.
