  Hostel Life at Anna University

  The College of Engineering Guindy, also known as CEG, was established in 1887. It is the first institute in the country to offer mechanical, electrical, and telecommunication engineering degrees. It also offers courses in printing technology, materials science and engineering, and highway engineering. The campus has two major buildings that house the college's library and its hostels for over 3,500 students. Each room at CEG has a forced-air system, a spring, a microwave, and a separate laundry room.

  Students can also join the hostel committee. There are three committees in the hostel, and each one is supervised by a Deputy Warden and Resident Counsellor. The warden and executive warden are the members of the committee, along with all other student representatives. The students elected the committee members, which included the Deputy Warden, Executive Warden, and all Deputy Wardens. The hostel administration is headed by a Warden, and staff members work for the hostel's kitchen and cleaning, as well as security.
