On an international scale, the University of Mumbai was positioned within the range of 801–1000 by the QS World University Rankings in 2020. It secured the 177th spot in Asia in the same year and was listed at 89 among BRICS nations in 2019. Mumbai University Admission
Admissions at Mumbai University and its affiliated colleges are facilitated through online channels. The selection process for undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) programs is primarily based on merit or performance in entrance exams. The university accepts scores from various entrance exams such as CUET, MHT CET, MHT LAW CET, NATA, and GATE for admission to programs like BTech/B.Pharm/B.Text, BBA LLB, B.Arch, and M.Tech, respectively. For admission to the PhD program, the university conducts its PhD Entrance Test (PET) followed by a personal interview conducted by the respective department. Mumbai University Scholarships

Mumbai University Placement
Mumbai University's Placement Cell is dedicated to facilitating employment opportunities for students by maintaining strong connections with prominent companies nationwide. Through campus recruitment drives, this cell assists students in securing placements in various esteemed companies. Some of the notable recruiters include Idea, Accenture, Flipkart, Bluestar, and Angel Brooking.
In the PG program, the university successfully placed around 2700 students, comprising 1041 students from the two-year PG program and an additional 2541 students. The number of placements exceeded during the recent drive, with 447 students securing placements. Among them, 477 were PG students, while 47 were from PG-integrated programs. On average, UG graduates receive a salary of approximately 4.20 LPA, while PG students command an average salary of 5.50 LPA.
