Gandhi Institute of Engineering and Technology (GIET) University was established in 1997 by the Vidya Bharati Educational Trust and is located in Gunupur, Odisha. This university is a private institution with five schools, such as Engineering & Technology, Management Studies, Agriculture, Sciences and Humanities that offer numerous undergraduate and postgraduate programs like BTech, MBA, BSc, BBA, and MTech among others. It is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) The National Board of Accreditation (NBA) and the University Grants Commission (UGC), GIET has received the "Best University award for Innovation and Campus Placement" at the International Education Pride Awards 2021 Ceremony.
