Infrastructure and Facilities

Boys Hostel:

The college has a boys’ hostel facility which provides good hostel accommodation for the students. The hostel is located on a lush two-acre campus and near the main campus. Transportation to and from the hostel is available at the campus. The hostel campus is completely Wi-Fi enabled and has well-equipped spacious rooms, made available on a first-come-first-serve basis. Facilities for indoor and outdoor sports like Football, Cricket, TT, Carrom, Chess, Shuttle Badminton, and Gym are made available for the students. The hostel assures a comfortable stay for the students during their studies. The facilities make the hostel a home away from home.

Girls Hostel:

The college has a girls’ hostel facility which provides good hostel accommodation for the students. The hostel is located on a lush two-acre campus and near the main campus. Medical/Hospital:

The College has an arrangement with Ramakrishna Hospital. The hospital provides all kinds of first aid facilities, blood tests, X-Ray, ECGs, and primary care. A Doctor is also available on campus for consultation. Infirmaries with two beds are available. Moreover, our Students, Faculty and Staff are supported by Group Health Insurance Scheme provided by the College.

Gym:

As part of the holistic development of the learner, we strongly believe that a strong mind is a strong body. Therefore, we have set up a state-of-the-art gymnasium at our hostel equipped with a Treadmill, Cross trainers, Spin cycles, Aerobics Hall, Strength Stations, dumbbells, and Freehand equipment.

Library:

The library is a Learning Resource Centre for teaching and learning activities in educational institutions. IFIM Library aims at developing a more comprehensive collection of print and electronic resources by giving vital support to the academic and research needs of the College. The College library offers access to both reference and stack sections. The Library is well equipped with a spacious reading area, reference section, research incubation, Stacks Digital Library, etc. The Library has a clear layout map with indicators and a copy of the Library floor plan is displayed on the notice board along with rules and regulations about the usage of the Library.

Sports Facilities:

In addition to imparting knowledge, at IFIMC we always give priority to the fitness of the wards and therefore we encourage our students to take part in various sports of their choice. The following are the games made available to our students. Indoor Games: Table Tennis, Chess, Carrom Outdoor Games: Football, Volley Ball, Cricket, Badminton Apart from these, our students were also encouraged to take part in Desi sports such as Kho Kho, Dhangal, etc.

I.T Infrastructure:

The college has an excellent IT Infrastructure facility for the students. Presently the Laboratory has over 130 systems (P4 Intel) connected to four different servers behind the software and hardware-based firewalls. Access to the internet is provided through round-the-clock dedicated Lease line connectivity of 6 Mbps bandwidth. The software system is run on Windows 7, and XP on the desktops, and the server sides run on Linux 9, Windows 2003 server, Oracle, and Windows NT 4 Small Business Server. The laboratory also has networked-based laser printing for outputs. All the systems are multi-media ready and run application like-call Microsoft Office, SPSS, SAS Visual Basic, Oracle, and tools for data modeling and simulation.

Cafeteria:

The college is proud of its excellent canteen facility in terms of the quality of eatables available, hygiene and space. Students are highly satisfied with the services of the canteen.

Auditorium:

The auditorium is located on the topmost floor of the building with a seating capacity of 200 people. The hall is fully air-conditioned and has well-planned acoustics and an overhead LCD projector with a display screen. Most of our formal functions are held in the auditorium. The college also has an amphitheater of greater capacity where outbound student activities will take place.
