The Oriental University was established in 1995 in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. It was it's the only Private institution in Indore. Since May 2011, the Indore University has been granted university status it was granted the status of a university under Section 2f in the UGC Act of 1956. Later. After it was granted the status of a university The Oriental University's (OU) philosophy was to be a part of a larger area by providing a range of classes.
The curriculum is specialized to the industry, and OU plays an important role in bridge gaps between demanding expectations of business and the poor courses offered by various universities. Furthermore, the university's top facilities include large classrooms that are equipped with the latest teaching aids as well with well-equipped workshops and labs. Thus, in a secure and welcoming environment that transcends traditional boundaries in education, OU blends creative teaching and cutting-edge research.

The infrastructure is what makes up the core for an establishment. It is what makes a variety of academic and extracurricular activities feasible. Thus, a solid infrastructure should be able to meet both contemporary and conventional requirements. For instance, wireless internet library, e-library, labs, equipment for sports and hostels, mess areas and so on. In actuality the beautiful green campus OU is located on an area of over 100 acres. The campus' infrastructure was designed by the famous Hafeez Construction Company. Additionally, the University is equipped with several top facilities. It has vast classrooms equipped with modern teaching aids as well equipped labs and workshops.
One of India's public sector banks, Oriental Bank of Commerce is a bank with its headquarters in India and was established in 1943. On the campus of the university, the Oriental Bank of Commerce (OBC) has opened a branch. On Monday through Friday, the bank is open from 10:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and on Saturday, it is open from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Both faculty and employees have access to financial services.

The placement activity at Oriental University is conducted by the Training and Placement Team on the campus. This corporate relations Team of OU Indore has the task of assisting students with summer internships and final placements.
