Admission to DY Patil School of Management, Pune is done directly on a first come first serve basis. Candidates can apply for admission through both online and offline modes of application.
1. Residential Accommodations
Nestled in the arms of Mother Nature, the Hostel is a home away from home for our Hostel students. The Hostel at D Y Patil School of Management provides numerous experiences with Mother Nature in the form of nature trails, hikes, and in-house adventure camps. Not only this, the scenic landscapes provide for natural relaxation and serve for the rejuvenation of both the mind and soul, resulting in greater zeal and energy. This area also inculcates in students life-long skills of living together with different cultural backgrounds and harboring a feeling of acceptance and tolerance. It also inculcates mannerisms that assist each child to develop holistically and lead contented lives in the later stages of life.
The Hostel is a modern structure consisting of three wings allowing for the accommodation of 40- 50 students in each wing. Each wing has one Television room with DVD players and space outside where students can wander, read, and sit in the sun or under the stars.
The rooms situated in the Hostel are mostly set up for 4 to one-room occupancy. This residence also includes a Television lounge and a computer bay. Girls share an outdoor play area with the rest students, where they can play basketball, table tennis, and badminton.
Nearly every weekend features social events, organized by the staff & students, the get-togethers include activities such as movie nights, games, and dances – all creating evenings much-relished. Celebrations of various kinds take place during the year like Navratri Nights, Dusshera Celebrations, and D J Nights.
As the Hostel serves as a second home, the academic program must be also supported wholeheartedly. Towards this cause, a structured prep time is scheduled in the evening, with full support from the academic staff who comes in to supervise the students and provide additional support to the weaker students.
The Hostel staff comprises professionals who hold Bachelor's & Masters's degrees, are highly experienced and can help students in academic areas as well as encourage them in their physical and spiritual lives. The Hostel staff has a parental role and offers advice, guidance, and friendship to the students.
With the support of the Director, faculty, and the patronage of students, DYPSOM Library has grown enormously. The total collection is more than 5328 books, nearly 400 CDs, 562 Project reports, e-books- 480, 60 Conference Proceedings, and 340 Dissertations. There are 27 National and International, bound volumes of 218 Journals/Magazines, and bound volumes of some prominent journals. Library has subscribed to 3 English and 2 local language newspapers. These are preserved for 3 months respectively. The library is 602mated using Library Management Software for day-to-day activities. Library has enriched with knowledge resources including Handbooks, Encyclopedias, Dictionaries, Fiction, Literature, Motivational, Communication Skills, Change Management, Leadership Management, Aptitude, Competitive Examination, and some religious Books. These books are very useful to students in increasing their knowledge of Communication, Personality Development, Confidence, life skill, and Interview Skills. Also, it helps to increase their interest in reading Fiction and Biographies. The library has also purchased a very rich and popular collection in Management.
The library has adopted various strategies for quality improvement in the department as well as to motivate the students for encouraging reading habits. Adopted strategies are as under 1. Book Review Competition 2. Best Library User Award – for Students and Faculties 3. Library Orientation Programme 4. Book Exhibition 5. Scholar Card System 6. e-books & e-papers / articles 7. Provided E-resources 8. Free membership to the BVG Staff.
For imparting IT skills to the students we have built a state-of-the-art Computer Center. The air-conditioned labs are well equipped with internet and the latest software solutions in its ultramodern networked environment. We believe that education should not be restricted only to classrooms and labs so we have provided a campus that has a wi-fi facility. This enables students to do their thesis and projects innovatively by using the internet.
A sports center is available for students who are interested in both academia and sports.
The campus has a conference hall where seminars and other important events take place.
The Boarding House is equipped to provide catering services to students and staff, in School, the kitchen services are managed by Balaji Caterers and their highly experienced Production & Service team. The kitchen opens at 6.15 am to provide breakfast for students from 7.00 am – 8.00 am.
The menu is planned on a 15-day cycle. Multi-cuisine food is provided (a mixture of Indian and Continental dishes) and is planned to maintain variety and norms of nutritional value. Vegetarian and non-vegetarian food is prepared in designated kitchen areas and available at every meal. Special diets are provided for students & staff on medical advice when necessary. Students and staff eat together at lunchtime in the dining hall which caters to around 200 people between 01:00 pm and 02:00 pm.
Idli Sambhar, Italian Pasta, Schezwan Fried Rice, Malabari Chicken…the cheapest and easiest way of traveling around the world is through mouth-watering delicacies. It enables them to experience the joy of enjoying meals with their friends and teachers in an informal setting. Enhancing and strengthening the camaraderie they share with the entire school fraternity.
