Food Craft Institute – Visakhapatnam is a technical institute jointly funded by the Government of India and the Government of Andhra Pradesh, registered with void.GOMS.No. Founded. 318 Department of Labour, Employment, Food, and Technical Education (TE.1), Government of Andhra Pradesh, 24 December 1983. The Institute is governed by the Food Craft Institute Society (Visakhapatnam) which is governed by the Companies Registration Act (1860) is registered. The institute began its scientific activity in 1986, the year in which it was included in the list of institutes present in the country offering courses at a craft level.  After completing 5 academic years with the financial support of the Government of India, Ministry of Tourism, the Institute was taken over by the Government of Andhra Pradesh Vide G.WHO.NO.  262 Ministry of Education (TE-1) of 25 February 1992. 

The current year-and-a-half craft certificate programs are designed to equip students with all the skills and knowledge they need to successfully perform supervisory roles in star hotels, airlines, merchant marine and cruise catering, industrial catering, etc. . and preparation for self-employment. After completing their studies, however, they start as operational trainees and work their way up the career ladder. A good attitude and enthusiasm for working hard and smart will enable you to have a fulfilling career in the industry.
