International Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad (IIITH) is an autonomous university, founded as a not-for-profit public private partnership (N-PPP) in 1998.
The International Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad (IIITH) is an autonomous university, founded on a non-profit basis body of private partnership (NPPP) in 1998, and is India's first IIIT with this model. Over the years, the institute has developed strong research programs in various fields, with an emphasis on technology and applied research for industry and society.
IIITH is recognized in the "PROMISING" category of "University & Deemed to be University (Private/Self Financed) (Technical)" by Atal Ranking of Institutions on Innovation Achievement(ARIIA) 2021, a flagship program of the Ministry of Education, Government of India. AICTE Approved.

Residential Accommodation :
International Institute of Information Technology has separate hostels for boys and girls on campus. The Girls' Hostel keepers and the hostel manager remain on campus, as do several faculty and staff members and their families. The campus is effectively secured with 24-hour security at hostels, the main gate, and all academic and administrative buildings. There is only one point of entry and exit, so safety and security are never compromised. Evenings on campus are a pleasant sight with well-lit streets and common areas surrounded by mature trees and lush vegetation. There is also a State Bank of India branch and 2 ATMs.
Library:
The Library has a large collection of Reference Books, Text Books, Technical reports, Standards, Literature books, and CDROMs. The library is managed with fully integrated multi-user library management software. Thanks to this software, the cataloging and circulation services are automated as well as the OPAC (Online Public Access Catalog) structure. A world-class digital library is also maintained. It is an online repository of useful software, books, and tutorials. Students can download any licensed software from this resource. Many manuals and reference works are also available in digital format. Many lessons have been recorded and are available online for students to use. Most courses have an intranet site with course slides and other course materials.
Computer lab:
The Institute has well-equipped, air-conditioned computer labs assigned to students in batches. They contain the latest version of hardware and software. The average CP/student ratio is 1:2. All computers are part of an intranet (1Gbps Backbone), which connects all buildings, including hostels and all campuses 24*7 services by the institute. Researchers have 24-hour access to computer facilities for all students. Students administer their own computer systems. The research centers provide specialized and high-end equipment according to the needs of research and development projects.
Dining Facilities:
There are 3 vegetarians (North, South, and Yuktahar) and 1 non-vegetarian mess (Kadamb) on campus. Students may choose to dine at any mess. Kadamb serves non-vegetarians five times a week. Spacious and modern kitchens serve healthy and nutritious meals. There are also canteens serving snacks and drinks throughout the day and late into the evening.
Sports:
The institute gives sufficient incentive for everyone to excel in any of the plethoras of activities and skills available. Facilities are available for cricket, volleyball, football, basketball, table tennis, etc. We also have an agreement with neighboring stadiums for other sports facilities such as badminton, hockey, swimming, etc. Gym facilities are available in the hostel with a sports trainer. In addition to the common gym open to all residents, there is also a separate mini gym for girls in the girls' hostel.
Yoga:
The campus has a yoga room with a trained yoga guru for students, faculty, and staff. Yoga classes are held in the morning and evening.
The International Institute of Information Technology Hyderabad accepts admission through various entrance exams like Applicants in this mode need to appear for a computer-based undergraduate entrance examination (UGEE) conducted by IIIT Hyderabad. This exam has two sections:
a) SUPR – Subject Proficiency test for 60 minutes.
b) REAP – Research Aptitude test for 120 minutes.
