Jaypee Institute of Information Technology, Noida was established in the year 2001 and has been declared as a "Deemed to be University" under Section 3 of UGC Act 1956 in the year 2004. JIIT’s state-of-the-art, environmentally conditioned campus comprises smart buildings with Wi-Fi connectivity covering the Academic Block, Business School cum Research Block, Faculty Residences, Student Hostels and Annapurna.

The hostels at the Jaypee Institute of Information Technology University are managed by faculty members, with a Chief Warden for each hostel. There is 24-hour electricity and hot and cold water supply. Students are given access to free laundry facilities and can wash their clothes at any time of the day. While staying at the hostels, students are encouraged to make the most of their free time by participating in activities that promote physical health. Reading rooms and additional sports facilities like table tennis rooms, chess, and carom rooms. The hostel is also connected to outdoor sports centers for lawn tennis, basketball, volleyball, and badminton. All rooms at the hostel are equipped with LAN / Wi-Fi connectivity with a 24-hour internet connection via the main server of the academic block.
Library:
The LRC consists of the latest collection of textbooks as well as reference books (approx. 80522), national as well as international peer-reviewed journals, magazines, and electronic resources on subject Areas covered by the Institute's academic programs and other universal knowledge (about 333500). LRC has also made provisions to subscribe to full-text science and technology online journals and other national and international journals in printed form. It is also an active member of the Developing Library Network and provides inter-library loan services to its users.
Auditorium:
The JIIT has a fully functional, Centrally Air Conditioned auditorium with a seating capacity of 1800 persons. The auditorium has a state-of-the-art audio-visual system and a multi-functional lighting arrangement. Various cultural programs, conferences, and annual functions of the college are held in this auditorium.
Labs:
The JIIT infrastructure includes state-of-the-art CSE and IT department labs, Biotechnology lab. The CSE and IT labs have over 700 nodes. These nodes are running on the Windows 2000 / Windows XP / Linux platform and are equipped with state-status software. The department provides adequate hardware facilities for building microcontroller-based systems and for doing projects in the areas of robotics, augmented reality, and human-computer interactions as well, at both campuses. Research laboratories operate on more than 800 square meters of combined laboratory spaces hosting the main structure with high and educational dedicated tools and research laboratories to undertake research in priority areas of biotechnology with emphasis on applied research.
Medical Facilities:
The University has a well-equipped dispensary with 24 x 7 doctors with ambulance service and it also has links with a number of company hospitals for specialist care at subsidized rates.
Sports Facilities:
The JIIT Provides the provision of floodlights for playing the following outdoor sports. Basketball, lawn tennis, badminton, volleyball, football. Swimming Pool (Boys) Swimming Pool with an adequate number of showers, change rooms water filtration, and chlorination facilities. Badminton three badminton courts are available in the multipurpose room with air conditioning with synthetic floors. Cafe/Mess Facilities:
The JIIT has its own cafeteria which has been nicely designed and located on the premises in the green environs. This is a well-maintained self-service cafe. It offers a wide range of dishes with hot and cold drinks and a variety of rectified snacks for treatment.

Scholarship 1: Scholarship Scheme of U.P. Government
The Uttar Pradesh government provides scholarships for economically weak students belonging to different categories such as SC/ST/OBC/Minority and General. The annual income limit for OBC, Minority, and General categories is set at Rs. 2,00,000, while for SC/ST categories, it should not exceed Rs. 2,50,000.
Scholarship 2: William Webster Merit-Cum-Means Scholarship
Jaiprakash Sewa Sansthan has established an initial corpus of Rs. 20 Lakhs for the William Webster Merit-Cum-Means Scholarship. This scholarship is awarded to eligible students based on the interest earned from the corpus. It is available to students admitted to the Jaypee Education System across all three campuses since the 2004 academic year. The scholarship is provided through a transparent mechanism by a Scholarship Committee. Selected students receive a tuition fee waiver for up to one-semester tuition fee, which will be adjusted against the approved year's tuition fees.
JIIT Eligibility for Fresh Cases:
• The combined income of the student's parents/guardians should be less than or equal to Rs. 1.5 Lakhs per annum.
• Merit is determined based on the weightage of marks obtained in Class 10th (15%), Class 12th (35%), and performance in B.Tech. 1st semester (50%).
JIIT Eligibility for Continuation Cases:
For the scholarship to continue in subsequent years, students must meet the following criteria:
• Maintain a minimum CGPA of 7.0 on a 10-point scale.
• The combined income of the student's parents/guardians should be less than or equal to Rs. 1.5 Lakhs per annum.

The Training and Placement Cell at JIIT Noida is responsible for managing the on-campus placement process for graduate students across all campuses. The cell provides comprehensive support to visiting companies throughout the placement process. It arranges preliminary interviews, written/online tests, group discussions, and interviews based on the requirements of the companies.
The T&P cell is led by Brig (Retd.) Sanjay Dawar, Head Training & Placement, and Dean Students' Welfare, along with Senior Placement Officers. The JIIT boasts a high placement record with 99% of students securing placements. The JIIT highest package offered was INR 43.88 Lacs by Adobe, and the JIIT average package stood at Rs 7.57 LPA.
As part of the academic program at JIIT Noida, students in their final semester of B.Tech are required to undergo summer-time season training in June and July. This training is an essential component of their curriculum.
