Facilities and Infrastructure

There are also the Daily Specials to look forward to. The great menu along with the congeniality of the Café staff has helped the Café earn the status of a food haven for students.

Garden:

The College gardens with her velvet lawns, assorted plants, flowers, and trees, provide the ideal environment for contemplation. LSR, assisted by dedicated gardeners, has won the prestigious “University Green Cup” for several years running and the gardens are thus a source of great pride. On joining LSR, every student is encouraged to plant and nurture a tree.

Hostel:

Lady Shri Ram College has a small hostel for First-year students ONLY. Successful applicants are expected to find alternate accommodation at the beginning of their second year of study in the College. There are approximately 260 seats available for allocation on the basis of merit, across all categories. Rooms are generally shared by two/three students though a few single rooms are available on the basis of merit.

Medical Room:

The College has a well-equipped medical room with 2 beds. First aid facilities, a wheelchair, and a blood pressure machine are available in this medical room and there is a nurse on campus to cater to students who report minor health-related issues. In case of any emergency, the student is either rushed to a nearby hospital/medical center or a doctor is called immediately. 

Computer:

The computer laboratory was redesigned in a unique sitting pattern to facilitate imparting of instructions as well as have freedom of movement between desks for the instructor to assist students individually. All the apparatus and PCs are upgraded to meet the requirements of changing technology and the University syllabi. 

Auditorium:

The college has many spacious, well-lit classrooms. Large windows allow for good ventilation. The classrooms are ICT enabled with projectors for enabling the use of audio-visual mediums for teaching. Classrooms are equipped with black or white boards.

Library:

The Lady Shri Ram College was established in 1956, the college has one of the largest libraries in terms of space and collection in Delhi University. The college library has provided impetus to library services with the introduction of new and modern ICT infrastructure. 

Sports:

Sports at LSR move beyond the stereotypical notions of winning and losing. The focus is on health, fitness, and the well-being of the entire LSR community. The college has actively organized talks, workshops & seminars to bring awareness about wellness, sports injuries, sports nutrition, and drug abuse in sports. There has also been a certificate course in sports journalism. Eminent sports personalities and sports scientists are invited to engage with students. 

Admission

Candidates desirous of applying to Undergraduate and Postgraduate programs of the University of Delhi under any Category (SC/ ST/ OBC-NCL/ EWS/ Minority (only in UG)/ PwBD/ CW/ KM (only in UG)) must ensure their certificates/documents, as applicable, are valid and are in a ready format by 15.05.2023, to be uploaded at the time of applying to CSAS.
