The Regional Institute of Education (RIE) Bhopal is the founding institution of NCERT in New Delhi. The Institute organizes teacher training and other educational needs in the states of Chhattisgarh, Goa, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, and UT Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu. The institute is located in the hills of Shyamla, 7 km from Bhopal and Habibganj railway stations and about 20 km from Bhopal Raja Bhoj Airport.
