Purnea University is a collegiate public university located in Purnia, Bihar, India. It has jurisdiction over Purnia, Araria, Kishanganj, and Katihar districts. It was set up through an act of the State Legislature in 2018. Currently, Purnea is a training center in the North East region of Bihar. Purnea University comprises thirteen constituent schools, 33 affiliated schools together with B.Educational, engineering, management, and medical factories are spread across the Purnea division.
