Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University in Tirupati offers a variety of postgraduate courses, including Master of Technology (M.Tech), Master of Fisheries Science (M.F.Sc), and Master of Veterinary Science (M.V.Sc). Prospective candidates applying for admission to any of the Master's Degree programs must have successfully completed the relevant Bachelor's Degree examination specified for each course from Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University / ANGR Agricultural University or an institution accredited by ICAR/VCI. Admission to the postgraduate courses involves a comprehensive entrance test, followed by a counseling round conducted by the university.
• For both M.F.Sc. and M.Tech. programs, 85% of the total seats are allocated for applicants from Andhra Pradesh (AP), while the remaining 15% are open for candidates from both AP and Telangana. However, the latter group must take an entrance test.
• The maximum age limit for admission to MFSc and MTech courses is 40 years.
• Candidates belonging to SC/ST and OBC categories are entitled to reservation percentages of 15%, 6%, and 29%, respectively.
• Additionally, the university has a provision for a 3% seat reservation for Physically Handicapped candidates.
• One-third of the total seats will be reserved for women. In the absence of female candidates, these seats will be reallocated to male candidates.
• The entrance test for these programs consists of 200 multiple-choice questions (MCQs). The minimum qualifying marks for admission are 40%, while SC/ST/OBC candidates have no minimum qualifying marks.
Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University in Tirupati offers Ph.D. programs in various disciplines such as Animal Husbandry, Veterinary, Dairy, and Fishery Sciences. Aspiring candidates for the Ph.D. programs must hold a Master's degree in the relevant field with the required minimum marks.
