NIFT 2026 Result Stage 1 and Stage 2

The NIFT Exam has two stages: Stage 1 and Stage 2. The Stage 1 consists of a written exam that consists of two tests, GAT, and CAT, while Stage 2 contains a Situation Test and/or Personal Interview.

Since the NIFT 2026 exam is being organized by the NTA, the result login will be on its official website. Here is the process of checking NIFT results.

1. Go to NTA NIFT website
2. Click on the result link
3. Enter your application number and date of birth (or password) and security pin
4. On successful login, the NIFTEE Final 2026 Result will be shown on the screen.

NIFT Entrance Exam 2026 Tie-Breaker Policy

When two or more candidates achieve the same score, the merit ranks will be determined with the help of tie-breaking criteria.

1. The tie will be broken with the results of tests weighted more heavily in determining the merit rank. For example, if two applicants to NIFT B.Des programme have the same final marks, then the CAT scores will be compared.
2. If the final CAT scores are the same, then the GAT scores will be considered.
3. If the tie could not be broken in this instance, the subject-wise marks will be considered: Communication Ability, English Comprehension, Quantitative Ability, Analytical Ability, General Knowledge & Current Affairs.

What details are provided in NIFT 2026 Final Result?

The NIFT 2026 results will be presented in the form of a scorecard. The scorecard will contain the following details:

1. Name of candidate
2. Date of birth
3. Photograph
4. Roll number
5. Application number
6. Subject wise score in the written exams (CAT and GAT) and the Situation Test/ Personal Interview
7. Total score in the NIFT Entrance Exam 2026
8. NIFT 2026 merit rank of the candidate

NIFT 2026 Result - Benefit marks for wrong questions

The NTA will publish the Answer key and question paper of NIFT 2026 after the written examination has been completed.

1. If a previously attended question in the NIFT 2026 exams is shown to be incorrect, the advantage of marks will be provided exclusively to the individuals who attempted it. Upon considering the objections by the experts, if it is found that along with the original answer option(s), one or more option (s) is/are correct, then the benefit of marks will be awarded to all candidates who attempted any one of the correct option(s).
2. After the NIFT 2026 results are released, no grievances or representations against the Answer Key(s) will be considered.

What after NIFT Entrance Exam 2026 Result?

Candidates will have to view their scores and ranks and assess whether or not they meet the NIFT Cutoff thresholds as set by the NIFT authorities, once the NIFT results are declared after the entrance exam date. Those candidates who meet the NIFT entrance exam cutoff threshold will then be asked to attend the NIFT counselling 2026.

1. NIFT Counselling: That means the NIFT entrance exam counselling for the 2026 entry for candidates who had qualified based on NIFT entrance score.
2. NIFT Cuttoff: The score cutoffs set by NIFT authorities, are set based on the NIFT entrance exam to shortlist candidates each year, for admissions to the NIFT campus/ courses. The NIFT cutoffs will be published for the different colleges, by category and by courses.
