NIFT Syllabus 2025 - The National Testing Agency (NTA) will notify the NIFT entrance exam syllabus 2025 through the information brochure. The NIFT exam is conducted in two stages. The first stage consists of written exams - CAT and GAT. Shortlisted candidates will have to appear for a Situation Test/ Personal Interview in the next stage. NTA will conduct the NIFT 2025 written exam most likely in the first week of February 2025. The GAT paper will be conducted online, while the CAT paper will be an offline-based exam. Note that GAT is compulsory for all courses, but only B.Des and M.Des candidates need to take CAT. The NIFT 2025 GAT syllabus will include topics like Quantitative Analytics, Analytical Ability, Communication Ability and English Comprehension, etc.

NIFT Syllabus 2025 Exam Format

The NIFT 2025 exam format consists of written exams such as Creative Ability Test (CAT) and General Ability Test (GAT), with GAT being mandatory for all and CAT specifically required for B.Des and M.Des applicants. The NIFT entrance exam consists of two main components:

Shortlisting

Candidates' marks in the written examination determine eligibility for the next stage: situational test or personal interview.

Situation Test

Final Scores Calculation

The final marks for NIFT 2025 are calculated based on the performance in the written test and situation test/personal interview.

B.F.Tech Program Exception

Applicants for the B.F.Tech programmes are evaluated based on their GAT scores only for preparing the merit list.

Quantitative Ability

This sub-test is designed to test the quantitative ability of the candidates.

The subtest consists of questions on Addition, Multiplication, Division, Fractions, Percentages, Rate of Interest, Work and Task, Ratio and Proportion, and Distance.

Communication Ability and English Comprehension

The aim of this sub-test is to test the linguistic ability of the candidates in daily communication in English.

It includes questions on synonyms, antonyms, words with relevant meaning, singular, plural, one-word alternatives, idioms and phrases, correct spellings, understanding the situation from a given paragraph, etc.

Analytical Ability and Logical Ability

This sub-test is designed to test the candidate's ability to infer and reason from the given information and to evaluate the candidate's ability to identify a given problem and apply logic to resolve the core issues of the problem.

Creative and lateral thinking concepts and exercises are likely to be useful.

General Knowledge and Current Affairs

This sub-test is designed to test the candidate's general knowledge and current affairs.
