To get the most out of the NIFT 2025 sample papers, follow these tips:
Analyze your performance: Analyse your performance in each section to identify areas that need improvement.
Focus on weak areas: Focus on your weak areas and practice those topics regularly.
Develop a strategy: Make a strategy to solve the questions and stick to it during the actual exam.
Take mock tests: Take mock tests to simulate the real exam experience and improve your performance.
The General Ability Test (GAT) paper is the same for all courses – B.Des, B.F.Tech, M.Des, M.F.Tech, and M.F.M.
So, whichever course you are applying for admission in, you will have to take the GAT paper. The GAT exam will be conducted in computer-based mode and it is a written test.
Note that GAT and CAT are written tests and the first stage of the NIFT entrance exam.
As per the NIFT 2025 exam pattern, the GAT question paper for B.Des and M.Des will consist of the following sections – Communication Ability, English Comprehension, Quantitative Ability, Analytical Ability, and GK and Current Affairs.
Note that the number of overall and section-wise questions may vary depending on the program chosen by the candidate.
Candidates are urged to download the GAT questions and sample papers given below for effective exam preparation.
Candidates seeking admission to the B.Des program will have to appear for the Situation Test if they are shortlisted based on written test scores (GAT and CAT). The Situation Test is a practical test that will evaluate the candidate's material handling abilities and innovativeness. During the test, the candidate will be given a set of materials from which they will have to make a model and write a paper explaining the model. Note that the candidate is not allowed to use any other material except the material available inside the examination hall. The candidate should download the NIFT question papers for the Situation Test, to not only get an idea about the type of questions asked but also learn how to solve them.
