Government First Grade College For Women, HASSAN is one of the prestigious institutions of the semi-malnad region of the Hassan District. It was started on 21st June 2006. There have been many institutions of higher education in and around Hassan. Most of them are run by Government and Private Management.  In the beginning B.A, B.Com, BBM, and B.Sc., classes were started in a few rooms of the District Training Institution locality, M.G. Road, Hassan. Later in the year 2007-08 the college was shifted to a new building with well ventilated and spacious lecture halls, Library, Sports Ground and well-equipped laboratories.

GFGCW Campus is equipped with basketball, volleyball, and handball courts. My campus also has indoor games facilities like lots of table tennis, carrom, chess, etc. The college has a gym with dumbbells and lots of other equipment accessible to both students and staff. The college also offers free wifi and computers on campus for studying. My college also has a huge library with enough books, a group discussion room, and a room for self-study. They also make sure students get the book they need. Even if the book is not available, the name and author will be noted and they will ensure that the student receives the book within a few weeks.

Cafeteria

Scholarship

Government First Grade College For Women Scholarship is different for every course. And it starts from around 5000 per year and we need to pay exam fees and marks card fees separately.
