It is a long journey from the Ulhasnagar Girls College with less than one hundred girls students of pre-university Course in 1961 to Ulhasnagar College of Arts, Science, and Commerce and finally to R.K.Talareja College with nearly ten thousand students belonging to various streams of Junior, Degree and postgraduate sections. The College has grown as a shelter for more than 300 teaching and non-teaching staff members. I am proud to be associated with the College for the past two decades in my capacity as a teacher, Vice Principal, and the first woman Principal.
RK Talreja College Third Merit List has been released for UG programs. Late Shri Parsram Parumal had the ambition to provide education to refugees who migrated from Sindh, Pakistan to India. Though he himself was educated only up to the primary level but had the vision to provide education at a higher level and to achieve this objective he started 'New Era High School' in 1950. Shri Mengraj Mansharamani was its first H.M. & Classes were run in military barracks & wooden cabins.
RK Talreja College, Mumbai is approved by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and affiliated to Mumbai University.
