Sagi Ramakrishnam Raju Engineering College, Bhimavaram, established in 1980, is one of the earliest self-financing Engineering Colleges in the state of Andhra Pradesh. Established with a noble cause to empower rural students through technical education, the institution today has evolved as one of the pioneering technical institutions in the country.

Facilities and Infrastructure

HOSTELS:

The SRKR Engineering College Hostels for both boys and girls students are established right from the inception of the college. At the very beginning of the year the college provided 50-seat Hostel accommodation for boys and 20-seat Hostel accommodation for girls. Hostel accommodation for students is gradually increased as student intake increased. Presently Hostel accommodation for Girls is 800 capacity and for Boys is 400 capacity.

LIBRARY:

Library and information services play a significant role in enhancing and sustaining the knowledge environment and at the same time play an important role in providing raw material for new thinking and hence stimulating the generation of ideas The central library has a carpet area of 4160 sqm. with all modern facilities The library has 29850 titles and 108073 volumes. The library has subscribed to more than 675 e-journals and 102 print journals. 

SPORTS INFRASTRUCTURE:

Health is real wealth. Sports and games provide not only health but also create and enhance characteristics like discipline, sportsman spirit, competitive spirit, mental alertness, progressive nature, and friendly culture. These qualities are very important to shape their future. The students are encouraged to organize and participate in various events order to develop their health and create good qualities.

NSS:

The National Service Scheme (NSS) is an Indian government–sponsored public service program conducted by the Ministry of youth affairs and Sports of the government of India. The scheme aimed at developing students’ personalities through community service. NSS volunteers work to ensure that everyone who is needy gets help to enhance their standard of living and lead a life of dignity.

Placement

The Training & Placement (T&P) Cell was established in 1995 with the main objective of creating ample career opportunities for students in reputed Corporate Companies. It is presently headed by Dr. K. R. Satyanarayana, Dean of Training & Placements, and holds a dominant position shouldering various responsibilities and running a gamut of activities intended to cater to the needs of the students. ADMISSION

The eligibility criteria for admission into various UG and PG programs at SRKR Engineering College are based upon the guidelines that are being set up by the Govt of Andhra Pradesh from time to time. The Category A seats shall be 70% of the sanctioned intake of seats, which shall be filled with eligible candidates on the basis of Rank obtained at APPGECET. For second-year lateral entry students, all seats, shall be filled with eligible candidates on the basis of Rank obtained at APECET.
