Objective Test

This article contains complete information about the NEET PG 2024 selection process. Objective tests, merit lists, counselling and allotment letters were the main stages of the NEET PG selection process.

Objective Test

  1. The objective test is the first stage of the exam.
  2. This exam is conducted online.
  3. There are a total of 200 questions.
  4. Each question carries 4 marks and one negative answer for a wrong answer.
  5. No points are deducted if the question is not answered.
  6. This step will decide whether or not you will enter a merit list.
  7. So, this step must be handled very carefully because all other steps directly depend on this step itself.

All India Quota Seats

  1. Those candidates will be eligible to be provided in the counselling for All India 50% quota seats for the 2024 admission session fulfilling the eligibility criteria provided by the designated counselling authority for All India 50% Quota seats.
  2. Candidates below the 50th percentile (40th SC/ST/OBC (including PWD SC/ST/OBC) and UR 45th PWD candidates) in NEET-PG 2024 will not be considered for admission to MD/MS. No /PG diploma courses or merit or rank will be given to such candidates. 
  3. To be eligible for admission to a Postgraduate Course for an academic year, it shall be necessary for a person.

State Quota List

  1. NBE shall be providing only the data of candidates and their marks in NEET-PG 2024 to the designated counselling authority without applying eligibility criteria, reservation criteria, etc of the concerned states. 
  2. NBE shall not be preparing the merit list for any State quota seats / Private Medical Colleges / Universities.
  3. The State Quota Seat Counseling Office is requested to prepare customized application forms to determine the eligibility of applicants.
  4. NBE does not verify the information submitted by the candidates in the online application form, so the application is purely preliminary if the candidate has fulfilled the eligibility criteria mentioned. 

Merit List Publication-NEET PG 2024

This is the second stage of the selection process, so it is an important part of NEET PG 2024. The merit list contains the following information. Before that, we must note that the name in your merit list is visible only if you have cleared the Neet PG 2024 cut-off. 

The following can be concluded about the merit list:-

  1. The merit list contains information such as the name of the candidate, the grades obtained in the exam and the grades given to the students.
  2. The college distributes sweets to the candidates according to their merit list.
  3. The next step is counselling and seat distribution. 

Counselling: NEET PG 2024

Counselling is given to fill the seats for a certain year. Candidates should apply for counselling and select the location of their choice. The authorities also charge applicable fees for the seat allotment process. It varies from category to category and therefore the fees charged are also different. This is the list that is prepared and released after the counselling process:-

  1. This list is based on Counselling.
  2. The location preference chosen by the candidates during counselling is considered.
  3. Through this letter, candidates get to know the college to which they are assigned.
  4. The decision is final and cannot be changed in any way.

Reporting to the Allotted College: NEET PG 2024

The last and final process is to report to the given college at the given time. The following documents must be sent on the day of admission:
