Symbiosis Institute of Computer Studies and Research (SICSR) is one of the first Institutes in Maharashtra to offer high-quality computer education. The institute functions under the aegis of Symbiosis International (Deemed University). It is ranked among the Top 20 B-School of Eminence by CSR GHRDC B-School and 56 ranked Top 100 B-School of India as per Outlook Drishti Survey. The college is also ranked 2nd as India’s best BCA College 2022 by India Today (Outlook-ICare). It has also been ranked 1st in the western region in the same category.

The admission process for Symbiosis Institute of Computer Studies and Research in Pune is as follows:
Candidates must meet the eligibility criteria specified by SICSR. For the Master of Business Administration (MBA) program, candidates should have a bachelor's degree from a recognized university with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (45% for SC/ST candidates). For the Master of Science (M.Sc) programs, candidates should have a bachelor's degree in the relevant discipline with the required minimum marks.
Candidates need to appear for the Symbiosis National Aptitude Test (SNAP) conducted by Symbiosis International University. SNAP is a common entrance test for admission to various Symbiosis institutes, including SICSR.

The Symbiosis Institute of Computer Studies and Research has specific SNAP cutoffs for different courses. For the General category, the SNAP cutoff for the MBA Digital Transformation program is 82 percentile, while for the MBA Information Technology program, it is also 82 percentile. Additionally, there are separate cutoffs for other categories, such as SC, ST, and OBC. These cutoffs indicate the minimum percentile required in the SNAP exam to be eligible for admission to the respective courses at SICSR.

SICSR has a dedicated training and placement cell that facilitates interactions between students and industries. The cell organizes various training programs, including a 6-month internship program, group discussions, mock interviews, pre-placement talks, and industry interface sessions. MBA (IT): 52 students participated, out of which 50 were placed. The highest salary offered was INR 25.91 LPA, and the average salary stood at INR 7.42 LPA.
MSc (CA): 26 students participated, out of which 25 were placed. The highest salary offered was INR 14 LPA, and the average salary stood at INR 7.37 LPA.
MSc (SS): 17 students participated, and all 17 were placed. The highest salary offered was INR 9.60 LPA, and the average salary stood at INR 5.58 LPA.

SICSR also conduct guest sessions for the students by experts in startups to become an entrepreneur. By joining aptitude training and practicing our learning management system, students gain the confidence to participate in competitive exams as well. They can see their result online after appearing for the test. SICSR also conducts student audits to understand the required development to make the student industry ready. At SICSR we conduct approximately 30 hours of training by industry experts to develop skills that would help them during Aptitude Tests, Group Discussions, Personal Interviews, and Technical Interviews.
