The College is the brainchild of great visionaries who had foreseen the need for a multi-disciplinary innovative management institution to impart education and undertake research and extension in the field of Agriculture and related institutional support sector by blending agricultural input supply chain, post-harvest activities, and managerial talents for the benefit of the Agricultural sector and rural development. The College was granted independent status in April 1985. The College has grown many folds since its inception and has an excellent academic record with committed faculty.
The College of Cooperation, Banking, and Management, the founding body of Kerala Agricultural University, was established in 1981 under Section 5 of the KAU Act (Act 33 of 1977). The College is the brainchild of great visionaries who foresaw the need for an innovative, multidisciplinary, leading institution to provide education and research, and extensions in agriculture and the related field of institutional support through linking the agricultural supply chain after the activities of gathering and Managements to be carried out by talents for agriculture and rural.
College was granted independent status in April 1985. The College has grown exponentially since its inception and has an excellent academic record with a dedicated faculty. The College has been recognized by several institutions nationwide as a resource center for training programs, workshops, summer schools, seminars, and short courses. Currently, the college offers a four-year professional management degree, B.Sc. (Honours) C&B, Graduate Studies, MSc.(C&B) with three majors (Cooperative Management, Rural Marketing Management, Rural Banking, and Financial Management), a Ph.D. program in Rural Marketing Management and an MBA in Agribusiness Management. The college's graduates and alumni hold coveted leadership positions in leading banks, financial services, cooperatives, agribusiness, and retail institutes and universities in India and abroad.
College of Co-operation, Banking, and Management is affiliated with the Kerala Agricultural University and recognized by the Government of Kerala, and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR).
College of Co-operation, Banking, and Management offers Undergraduate Programs B.Sc Cooperation and Banking Hons, and Postgraduate Programs M.Sc Cooperation and Banking, and MBA in Agribusiness Management.
