In line with the aforementioned mandate, the Indian Institute of Public Health (IIPH) was established in Bhubaneswar, Odisha in August 2010, and started imparting one-year Post Graduation Diplomas in Public Health Management (PGDPHM) courses for the in-service Medical Officers under the Government of Odisha & Chhattisgarh, and for selected, self-sponsored students with backgrounds in medicine, nursing, biological sciences, social sciences or pharmacy.
