Established by the revered Mahatma Gandhi Mission Trust, a pioneer with 37 years of excellence in education, research, and service, MGM University is a self-financed State University, approved by the Government of Maharashtra through its act XXVI of 2019. The University has the 2(f) status of the University Grants Commission (UGC) of India. Courses Offered

MGM Institute Of Management & Research courses are offered at various levels like Undergraduate Degrees i.e Bachelor of Commerce Honours (B.Com. Hostels offer a variety of accommodations varying from single occupancy to dormitories shared by two, three, or four students each. A combination of AC/Non AC rooms with attached/ shared toilets is available. The experienced staff ensures a safe and healthy environment in each hostel. All attempts are made to provide the students with a healthy, hygienic, and hassle-free learning environment in the hostels.

The College Knowledge Resource Center (library) of the Institute is very well equipped with all types of learning resources. A valuable treasure of 32000+ printed books, more than one lakh e-books, and international and national journals is held with the KRC. Books on the latest subjects, general knowledge, and competitive exams are made available. An Audio-visual hall with video display equipment and a digital library is available. e-resources like Emerald, JGate, DelNet, an adequate number of newspapers and magazines and Research Data Bases are available for research.

The lecture halls have been designed adhering to the principles of ergonomics to offer ample ease and convenience. The classrooms are furnished with the latest audio-visual aids and IT equipment.

The Institute is centrally located on a sprawling lush green MGM University campus on about 2 acres. The campus is safe, easily accessible, and conveniently located. There are ample common areas to cater for physical distancing. Special attention is paid to the maintenance, hygiene, and sanitation of the campus.

The institute has three sophisticated computer labs with the latest configuration networked computers. The institute also has a dedicated Language Lab. The latest editions of software which are important for management students are made available.

A state-of-the-art incubation center is available at the Institute. The key facilities of the center include Advance Industrial Automation, Mechatronics, Industrial Fluid Power, Industry 4.0, E-Vehicle, and Computer Integrated Manufacturing lab in Association with Christiani Sharpline, Germany, and SSIGMA, Pune. The students can avail of these facilities or they can with their own expertise, plan a start-up. The incubation center will extend maximum support to those who have viable business plans for a start-up.

Promotion of sports is one of the key agendas of MGM Trust. Therefore the campus is bestowed with exceptionally extensive, modern, and meticulously maintained sports infrastructure.

Many students have distinguished themselves at inter-university, national, and international sports competitions in Rifle Shooting, Fencing, Martial Arts, Soft Tennis, Swimming, Kho-Kho Chess, etc. Sports infrastructure that is available is as under:

Outdoor Games: Cricket Stadium with a capacity of 15,000 spectators, three Olympic Size Swimming Pools with a 10 Mtr Diving Board, four Lawn Tennis sand courts, Football, Basketball, and Volleyball Courts. Well-maintained Kabaddi and Kho-Kho Grounds, Roller Skating Rink, and a Yoga Center.

The institute has highly qualified and extremely accomplished intellectual faculty members across various domains such as Marketing Management, Financial Management, Human Resource Management, Production and Operations Management, Hospital Administration, Tourism Management and IT, etc. with 60% of them holding a Ph.D. in their respective disciplines. The institute has faculty from reputed institutions like IIM, Georgia State University, and the University of Tampa, USA. The average teaching experience of the faculty is 9 years.

Scholarships

MGM Institute of Management & Research offers the following to deserving students. Scholarships are available based on the recommendations of the committee on the subject:

Merit Scholarships: In terms of fee concessions (50% to the topmost, 35% to the second, and 25% to the third) to the admitted students with top three scores in the entrance competitive exam.

Sports Scholarships: Fee concession of 50 % and 25 % of tuition fee to those who have played any international /national level tournament respectively in their graduation years.

Wards of Defence Forces: 25% concession to the wards of defense forces (Military and Para-military) personnel ‘killed in action’.

Placements

MGM IOM&R has a very dedicated and efficient team as its TPO. The TPO is always striving to provide students with proper professional training as well as placement opportunities every academic year.

Every year, many reputed companies from manufacturing, IT, banking, and insurance have been recruiting from the institute. For the academic year 2019-20, 22 coveted companies like Atos Syntel, CapGemini, HDFC Bank Ltd., Aditya Birla Capital, India Shelter Finance Corporation, Ecom Express, Berger Paints, Pin Click, Topper Technologies Pvt Ltd., etc. visited the campus for campus drive. The maximum salary offered was INR 5. 53 LPA and an average salary of INR 3 LPA. The TPO Cell organizes various activities like mock interviews, group discussions, preparing students for Maths and Aptitude, etc. with a view to preparing the prospective employees for the campus selection.
